[This followup was posted to comp.mail.pegasus-mail.ms-windows and a copy was sent to the cited author.]

When starting Pegasus there is a dialogue box which states at top
"Create One Font(c)" and below that in box it states "Error creating
font" with OK box. Hit OK and then box states same message again. Hit
OK and it states message again. Hit OK and e-mail is readable. This
does not appear on all messages. It appears on some messages received
from AOL and MSN but not all. Using Pegasus Ver 4.02, XP Home with svc
patch 2. Renamed Pegasus and installed Ver 4.2 and very first screen
before any setup gave same error message. Perhaps something outside of
Pegasus?? can find nothing wrong in fonts or Pegasus setup. Anyone
have an answer? TIA

Are the messages where it appears HTML? If you right-click on the
highlighted message and select Message properties, you can uncheck
the box "Contains HTML data." Then when you open the message you can
see the HTML source code. I'm no expert, but I suppose it's possible
that those messages that cause the error contain a font not installed
on your computer.

If you don't discover any fonts you don't have installed, you could
try setting another printer driver as the default (such as
text/generic), just to see if it makes any difference.
